Hi, my lovelies! Today I will show you how I made my new fall door décor. Here is my YouTube video and all details are as usual listed here down below. Thank y’all for watching & reading!
Here are the things I used:
A bunch of straw, which I have bought at a local DIY & craft supplies. You could use willow twigs instead - just soak them for a few hours in water, so that they bend easily.
Here are some leaves and other items I picked at our DIY store.
Then I used a few acorns and chestnuts, which I found in the woods.
Next, I have here three Chinese lanterns from our yard.
First, I opened the package with my straw. I started twisting it and forming it into a wreath. You just have to play with it and try a few things until you are happy with the form.
I tied the wreath on several places with a few lose pieces of straw and I also fluffed it up a bit, because I liked the way it looks.
Next, I took my décor pieces – both natural and plastic – and started positioning all in place. Then I started gluing all on with my glue gun.
Some pieces were easier to glue on, some less – but it all worked out at the end.
Once the glue gun gets really hot, I like using some tool for pressing the décor pieces on the wreath, so that I can’t burn myself. Just be very careful.
Once I was happy with the result, I tied a straw string to the top, so that I would have a loop to hang my wreath on our entrance door.
And that was it – my new fall entrance door décor was done.
Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel MondbergTV for more creative videos. I upload once a week. There are many sewing tutorials, home décor ideas, up-cycling projects, DIY accessories and more. Every year, I create a few Halloween costumes and post tutorials early enough, so that anyone will have enough time to create them. I already posted my this years' first Halloween costume - it's Holly Golightly costume.
Thank you all for watching & reading!
Sending much love,
Lara
