Make this pumpkin wreath out of twigs and light it up with some fairy lights.
This is how it looks with the fairy lights! I used battery operated fairy lights.
I was hoping to say fall is just around the corner but, I’m a little late for that. Time flies and fall is already here!! Every store smells like pumpkin spice and has loads of orange everywhere. I love this time of year. It’s so festive and exciting!!
I’ve seen all sorts of pumpkins everywhere except for the pumpkin I envisioned!! I wanted a pumpkin on my door and the only problem with a real pumpkin was that it would stick out way to much and it might just fall and crack someones head open!! (YIKES) So I thought maybe a twig pumpkin. Ok… there are plenty of twig pumpkins at every home decor store except for the ones you could hang on your door. You… know like a wreath! After all the hunting I finally decided to make my own. So with a little bit of wire and some twigs from the great outdoors I created this pumpkin wreath. I hope you guys like it. So far I’m loving it on my door!
You will need to built the base of your pumpkin using wire. I bend my wire around a lid and made loops on each end .
I then took a smaller piece of wire and threaded it through all the loops. To secure it I bend my wire into a circle. :D
After laying the wire circles down I shaped them into a pumpkin and secured it. Following that I added three bunches of twigs that I tied to my metal pumpkin with twine. ( you can view my full video down below if this is confusing or visit my blog for an in depth descriptive tutorial ! )
I used my thicker ends for the stem of the pumpkin and added some fall decor to it with my handy hot glue gun.
I also added some orange yarn that I found around the house. What do you guys think?
