OK, maybe not "framed", maybe I am guilty of having everything on hand that was needed to complete this challenge, and maybe I am willing to admit, that when it's all there and just waiting to be completed, the temptation to complete becomes "an irresistible impulse". Irresistible impulse, BTW is a legal defense.
I began this dark journey, down a path, unbeknownst to me. It was a journey, that no matter what, I couldn't turn back. Starting with a thin board, I know not where it came from, and a piece of black felt, cut to approximate size. Yes, I said "black felt", what other color would you choose, when you are about to enter the dark side. Using Tacky Spray adhesive, I mounted the felt to the board and then carefully trimmed to the exact size of the board.
Then a doily appeared, out of nowhere. Seems to be related to the table runner, left behind, perhaps to be executed to another unknown project. Again using the spray adhesive, it is mounted to the felt.
These two guys show us - you guessed it, out of nowhere. Seems they want to join the party. I used E6000 to glue them together for all of eternity. Once E6000 joins the gang, there is no getting out.
E6000 rules! Now we see the results of a well-organized syndicate. I cannot show this hanging in place, because the E6000 demands 48-72 hours drying time. What do you think? Should I paint the frame white to give it more of a shabby chic look? I'm still debating that one!!! Come to think of it, it would have been a crime not to do this.

Definitely paint the frame white with black accents in the crevices of the filigree.

Wow, everyone who responded thinks I should do this. I have the Country Chic black wax sent to me by Hometalk. So hard to cover that beautiful frame, but maybe it would be a crime not to do it. Will Update if and when I make the final decision. I'm thinking do it!
