My husband Spencer absolutely loves to make mini bars from old cabinets!! Our friend offered us this awesome cabinet and the minute he saw it he knew his vision. He is the woodworker and I am the painter so we make a great duo!!
The first order of business was for Spencer to custom make bottle and wine glass holders from wood that was actually a shelf that was inside the shelf!!! We are all about recycling items we have.
The next step was to take solid wood and cut into pieces for the top. Then we stained it using a Minwax grey stain. It was then sealed with a water based Minwax polycrylic.
I then painted the frame, doors and drawers plus spray painted all the hinges for a fresh look.
This beauty went home with someone who absolutely adored it and we could not be more happy.

I have 3 of these with the tops. Stain is coming off the tops of base. I'm going to finish striping & just put clear stuff on top. I use as TV stand & my nut crackers. I want to put one whole pc on top so tops don't slide off edge.
