Garden Bench Makeover

A garden bench was one of my first gifts to my husband when we met in 1993. Even though the bench has been used on a screened porch for the last twenty years, the bench showed wear and tear. Teal paint gave the bench a much needed update!
The bench was purchased from Plow and Hearth. My husband chose to stain it after he put it together.

The arms were the only area that had a lot of wear and tear. Prior to painting the bench, I sanded the arms well and gave the rest of the bench a light sanding to make sure that the paint would adhere.
I chose teal paint to match the stripe in the outdoor furniture cushions that are also on the porch.
