Add Some Cottage Charm to Your Front Porch This Spring!

Although the cold weather is hanging on, I decided to lighten and brighten our front porch for spring.
I wanted to build on the decorating scheme I put together last May and, about a month ago, began curating a collection of decor items (old and new) to create a charming cottage vibe.
Think about how you can repurpose something as a planter. This wine crate from France adds a bit of character and houses my rosemary as well.
I painted an old bench from my childhood farm in bright yellow to add a pop of spring color to our front porch. You can see the full transformation here.
It's important to start with a great foundational piece when decorating your space.
Add decor items, old and new, to infuse a bit of your personality to create a welcoming first impression. Think about mixing textures and colors for a well-rounded look.
