I went to visit my daughter at college in alpine tx and ran across a little thrift store. I found this little table for $5 I loaded it up and brought it home.

I painted it a few times and was never satisfied. Looking through Pinterest one day I saw where a lady cut old tables in half and hung them up. I thought what a cute and unique idea. So I got out the skill saw and cut it in half.

After cutting it In half I sanded it really well and cleaned it with TSP to get all the funk off. I wasn’t sure what color to paint it so I experimented with watered down chalk paint. I used white turquoise blue and black. I painted each color watered down and wiped down. After one color dried I did the next wiping after each color. Once I finished painting I added some corner brackets and hung on my wall. Kinda cute

Here is the clamp screwed to the back side of the table.

Here it is finished

And hung on my wall

love the paint job! Did you experiment with hanging the other "half" on top to make a tall shelf unit (do not get rid of the center posts, they are gorgeous)? Just a thought.
