Christmas Sign
Last month, I picked up a cute Christmas sign in Walmart. I wasn't sure I loved it, but it seemed to have potential. While cleaning out my garage a few weeks later, an idea hit me and I knew I would love that sign afterall!
Using a thick cardboard tube I found in my garage, I began wrapping it in a spiral fashion with red and white duck tape. It would have been quicker to use a 1-1/2" white pvc tube, but I was trying to upcycle some junk I had on hand.
Once wrapped and cut to size, I clamped down the tube, drilled holes through it, and inserted eye bolts to hang the sign from.
I marked the location of the eye bolts on the back of the sign, along the top. At each of these marks, I tapped in picture hanging hardware.
Next, I cut 4' lengths of ribbon. After adding a dab of hot glue to the hangars, I attached the center of each ribbon. It was then fed through the eye bolt, knotted, then a bow was made around the portion of the bolt that was sticking out of the top of the tube.
White styrofoam balls were hot glued to each end.
The sign now hangs from it's own candy cane sign post.

Thats a great idea. Our grandchildren likes to come over. When they do we give them our undivided attention. If it’s playing board games, dice games, or asking to make something. We usually give them some ideas, in which they can create from that or we let there imagination run free.
