Giving New Life to an Old Table
by

Pulled this metal table out of a dumpster one rainy January day, knowing I could bring it back to life!
Hubby and I were able to get the dents out with a hammer and block of wood.
Next came the Orbit sander. I was able to remove rust, scratches and old paint.
I used 3 cans of Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint in a Satin Blue Oasis. The paint was leftover from projects my daughter and I did last summer. On sale for 3-$5, so we got 6 cans. I did 3 coats, letting it dry in between. I stenciled seashells, crabs and starfish on the tabletop.
I then sprayed Rust-Oleum outdoor clear coat, using the whole can.
Hubby poured a concrete base for an umbrella to go in and hold the table in place during strong wind. The umbrella was given to me by my daughter, her outcast!
Now we have a great little table to enjoy outdoor meals on!
