Trash Can Lamp

I have had this thrift store trash can for more than two years. It never held trash very well because the holes in the sides are too big, so I decided to repurpose it as a lamp.
Even with a trash bag inside it, this trash can wasn't really fit to hold trash.
We struggled to cut a hole in the bottom, but finally succeeded with a pair of sharp tin snips. Then we added the lamp kit and a trendy Edison bulb.
The trash can lamp now illuminates my craft table. I don't think you would ever know that it used to be a trash can! More details on the blog.
