Lately I’ve been wanting to decorate my outdoor space since Summer is finally here and no one wants to be cooped up in the house. Am I Right?Hence why I wanted to focus on creating a fun space and this outdoor bench was the first step in the whole process.

These were the legs that I ended up using on this project.I chose the Square Industrial Legs in the Clear Coat finish. They were perfect to be used in my Outdoor space.

I bought the wood piece from Home Depot. It didn’t really matter to me which color I bought since I was going to paint over it.I did however had to get it cut to about 19 by 42 inches (if i remember correctly) for it to look like a bench. Before I painted the bench, I went in and attached the legs using a good ol power drill.Since the woods thickness was 3/4 inches thats the size of screws I used to attach the legs. When that was done, jut flip it over and it was time to paint.

I’ve used this stain on my   as well which you guys should check out since it is such a simple DIY project but the results are stunning.Pour the paint onto the wood and using a brush, get it to completely cover the top part of the bench. When that is done, go in with a piece of cloth and wipe off the stain so that you can still see the natural grain of the wood peek through.

After that I decided to give it a real summery feel and use a Pineapple Stencil.I used Liquid Gold Gilding and stenciled the Pineapples over the entire top part of the bench.

Let it dry and then seal it with some wood sealant. And there you have it.All Done.

I can just imagine this in the foyer. This adds such a fun pop to an otherwise overlooked space. Love your use of the gold gilding to the bench. It really catches the eye!
