Easy DIY Modular Patio Coffee Table
This thing is cute, just so darn cute! And it's simple to make, inexpensive, and you can put it together any which way you like.
Having seen an absolutely adorable version of these via Bothwell Farrington Design's Instagram account, I knew I had to make a version. Didn't have a place for them, didn't have a plan, just needed to make these.
Based on Keith's design, essentially all that was required was some wood and some 12" nails. Wow, easy!
I found some solid wood blocks for free over at my local pallet rehabber and picked up a bunch of steel nails. You can also cut up a 6x6, or whatever size you'd like.
This project is so astoundingly simple and the customizable options are utterly endless here.
So simple, just so simple! Drill a few holes on one side, about an inch in...
And then pound those huge giant nails in. Bingo! That's literally it!
Some extra details and tips can be found over on my blog Flipping the Flip so be sure to click those blue words there to be taken right over!
I had some leftover eco-friendly water based stains so I put two colors on two blocks. Sure, they're indoor stains but I'm not expecting the table to last forever.
Next I sealed them up with a mix of beeswax and mineral oil (again, I know, not outdoor stuff and won't last but so far it's working just fine).
Bad photo, but next I painted the little nail head feet with oil based paint to slow the roll on rust formation.
And tada! Voila! I LOVE this little coffee table! Oh my gosh, it's just the sweetest thing!
Even Finn approves!

Very cute!
Hahaha!!! I thought it was a dinning table until I saw Finn... Is it a dog or a bear? Must be a dog... Must be more like a coffee table!
