Valentines Wreath
I LOVE Valentines Day! I love red, I love pink, and I love a holiday where LOVE is the topic. This wreath is so easy and inexpensive that I think it’ll make you feel the love too!
And the most amazing part...I bought most of the supplies at the dollar store!
I found this wire wreath mold, wooden love sign, glitter heart picks, and an assortment of ribbon, spending only ten dollars total! The only thing I added was some ribbon of my own (namely the buffalo plaid).
The first thing I did was tape off the “o” from the wooden love sign. Then I painted it red and let that dry.
Then I wrapped the burlap ribbon around the wire wreath form.
Once the “o” was dry, I taped it off again and painted the rest of the letters black.
I then cut the assortment of ribbon into 6-8 inch pieces. I cut about 6 pieces of each pattern and there were 7 different ribbon patterns. I then cut the ends of the ribbon to make them look like clean cuts.
I then folded the ribbon in half and began gluing it onto the wreath. I did this until half of the wreath was covered. I made sure to spread the ribbon out so that it looked full.
I then applied wire to the hooks on the back of the wooden love and attached it to the wreath.
Using kitchen scissors, I trimmed the ends of the glittery heart picks so the remaining stick that the heart was attached to was only a couple inches long. I then placed the hearts on the wreath in a pattern that looked nice and then hot glued them into place.
The last thing I did was cut a piece of ribbon (I chose the buffalo plaid) about 18 inches long and folded it in half over the wreath. I then tied another ribbon about 3 inches from the two loose ends. Then I added a couple of other pieces and cut the ends.
This project was so fun and so easy! I am pleased with the outcome and can’t believe how little it cost! What do you think? Do you LOVE it?
