Wanting to makeover your bathroom but don't want to spend a ton of money? Just use paint!

My bathroom needed a refresh but I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on it. I was also stuck at home due to Covid so I had the time.

It only took a few hours and two coats of paint and it looks so much better! What a huge difference it makes and updates the room without spending a ton of money.

Check out the before and after pictures! I had everything but the paint on hand so really the cost was only $25 because I had to get a pint of expensive paint because that's all my hardware store had in stock. Any paint will work and you can update your knobs and hardware if you want too. If you want you can also just spray paint the hardware as well.

Step One Get Cabinet Ready

I wiped down the cabinet with a soapy rag and removed the knob and toilet paper holder. Next up I sanded the whole thing with 120 sand paper to roughen up the surface.

Step Two Paint

Apply painters tape and put down a floor covering. As you can see I used what I had handy. I used an angled brush and a smooth surface roller to paint with. Here is the what it looks like after the first coat.

Step 3 Apply Second Coat of Paint

Let the first coat dry completely before applying the second coat. I made sure to check all the little crevices. Remove the painters tape before it drys so it comes off smoothly and let the cabinet dry.

Step Four Add Hardware

I bought these two knobs to match the oil rubbed bronze faucet and light. Having two knobs makes a huge difference alone!

Step 5 Admire Your Handy Work

Yay it's all done and looks so much better!
