What a beautiful tray!
Many people have used Command Strips for this purpose rather than entering the wall with a hook or nail. You do have to be careful in selecting the product strong enough to hold your trays in place. Personally I have had mixed results with Command Strips, probably my own fault, where as others have had great success and swear by them. Keep in mind the strips may create a stronger bond with the paint on the wall they are stuck to, rather than the bond of the paint to the wall and come down with paint stuck to the strip.

Hello Carol,
With a Plate Hanger - Clear Plastic or White covered Wire and are available in different sizes in most places . Beautiful item!
I like invisible disc adhesive plate hangers. Here's a link:

As these are collectible, I'd use the invisible disc hangers that state they are easily removed and won't damage the plates.
Hello. command adhesives makes many different types of hanging applications to choose from. Double sided tape could be another depending upon the surface you want to attach it to.
Alternatively it might be possible to glue gun a link or a tab to the back as well
Here's a post that might help you - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL1h1beaZAc
I hang heavy trays with Industrial Velcro. Be prepared to repair the walls if you ever decide to take them down---they're on the wall to stay! Good luck!

Command strips! Work like a charm
How wonderful! If the all have handles, you can string a wire across the back and hang by that.
I would get large plate hangers to hang them up
Use command strips if you don't want to damage the wall or the trays
Command has poster strips that are my new favorite! These would work to hand these platters (which are gorgeous btw!) https://amzn.to/2SL3pok
If you have several trays that you would like to hang up, I would suggest that you first mount a floating shelf, one with an edge or groove. These are often sold as picture frame shelves, as the edge prevents the frames, or plate edges on the shelf from slipping down.
The mounting hardware on a floating shelf is hidden, (see last picture below) which allows the eye to be drawn to the objects on the shelf rather than to the often obtrusive or distracting hardware.
Having the shelf permanently mounted will also allow you to change or switch out different sized individual trays in your collection without disturbing any of the drywall or making new holes or marks in it.
I would use Command Velcro strips to attach them. My mother had this exact same tray!
If the plate is flat enough, you can look for a picture frame or a shadow box. It attaches to the wall with regular picture hangers and you can easily move it around and even use it when you want to.
Go to the Dollar store and get plate hangers, they fix to the back of the plate are virtually invisible and they protect the plate from falling off the wall.
Hammer some nails in to a surface then hang it on.
Use Clear Command Hooks- one upside down on the top and two right side up on the bottom.
