Hi Lyn I would purchase the little sample paints of the exact same type and brand and use those for tinting your current batch.
Thank you so much

Hello. You could try inexpensive acrylic craft paints the Apple barrel type that are $.50 but you could lose some of the property of your chalk paint characteristics. The best solution might be to purchase some smaller jars of chalk paint to keep the same properties and characteristics.
Hi! Sure! Use a small container to work out the ratio of the white to the color you are adding or you won't be able to duplicate it when you need more ( I learned this the hard way). I usually start by mixing an equal amount of each and then going from there. I use an empty yogurt container or jar to work out my ratios. Good luck!
Yes you can, just mix it in another container so you can get the right combination
Hi Lyn, you can mix any water-based paint with white chalk paint to tint it.
Sure!! Use a darker shade of the tint color you are looking for and mix it with the white.

Mixing chalk paint with craft paint or other kind of paint
You can even use tempra paint to tint it.
Start out very conservatively and add very little.
Then make a paint chip in an index card back and take the hair dryer to it to speed dry it.
Add any color acrylic paint or latex paint to the white paint. Mix well with a paint mixer that fits on a drill. Make sure the paint is completely mixed.
You can use any water based paint to tint it. Just know you’ll alter the effect of the chalk finish if you’re hoping to keep it.
Hi Lyn, you can use food coloring as well, add in drops, mix and check color, repeat until desired color is met. You can also use RIT liquid dye, or RIT powder which will not affect the properties of the paint
You can use another chalk paint to mix a color into it.
Yes it is possible, and here's a few idea from pinterest https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pinterest.com/amp/pin/281897257900133811/

So here is the real deal regarding chalk paint, “regular house water-based latex paint “ and acrylic paint.
chalk paint is regular water-based house paint. It has both latex and acrylic resins in it. Plus a calcium carbonate powder added.
regular water-based house paints have latex and acrylic resins in it.
acrylic “craft” paint is the purest form of water-based latex paint and is very expensive to make. That is why vinyl resin is added to regular house paint. Acrylic paint does not have vinyl resins in it.
so, from this it could be concluded that acrylic craft paint could be added to chalk paint because, while it doesn’t have vinyl resin in it, it is the purest form of latex paint and chalk paint is simply latex paint (with vinyl resin) and with calcium carbonate powder added.
however, if you are mixing large amounts, which would be very expensive with acrylic paint, you might want to add more calcium carbonate powder.
UPDATE: here is a scientific comparison of calcium carbonate (citrate) and sodium carbonate (soda ash aka baking soda):
https://sciencing.com/difference-sodium-carbonate-calcium-carbonate-5693285.html
Here is a link to Amazon for calcium carbonate powder than is not over priced as a paint additive:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064GZPPO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2DGE23SKYAFVE42J5R1M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
one can also conclude that soda ash aka baking soda can be used as the powder component of chalk paint. Though experimentation with the amount would be necessary to obtain the correct consistency. But that could be said of the citrate as well.
one thing is certain-the chalk paint must be top coated. The paint will simply wear off if it is not.
