Easy
If you're like me, you have a pile in the basement of "hmmm - what am I going to do with this?" Well - if you have an old CD Tower down there than I have a great project for you!
CD towers or racks come in a variety of styles and heights. If you don't have on hand, not to worry, you can easily find one at a garage sale or thrift store. They are typically made of metal so if you were inclined you could paint it what ever color speaks to you. They are ideal for small patios and could also be used indoors as well.
The funky spiral accents on this CD tower really caught my eye and I can even use it as perch for the bird house my grandson made for me. Don't be afraid to make it your own - if you're not a herb person, consider adding pots of pansies or using it for a trellis for tomatoes or vines.
I was so excited when I found these wonderful wooden herb boxes at a season end sale. I love the worn wood and twine and stenciled accents. They are about 8" X 4" in size and fit perfectly but you could also use any number of different containers or flower pots. If your partial to something similar to what I've used, consider making them out of deconstructed pallets.
Happy Herb Gardening!
