My Refreshed Dresser
by

We got this dresser free from a yard sale after they couldn't sell it - it was scratched, smelled, and the drawers didn't work well.
I offered to fix it up for my daughter for Christmas. I sanded it down, painted the cabinet and drawer fronts with primer, and restained the top.
We also decided to add some interesting detail to the drawer fronts, so my daughter picked out a stencil and I added some bling by way of joint compound.
I added two coats of white paint. We originally had thought I would highlight the bling with a different shade of white, but liked it better all one color.
Oh, and I gave the drawer pulls a bit of a sparkle with spray paint. I still have to add a couple of coats of polycrylic to the top before Christmas, but we are really loving how it came out!
