We all love the gorgeous items from the catalogs we get in the mail. But who has the budget to get everything on their wish list? Not me. Sometimes I fall in love with an item that's out of my price range and decide to create it on my own. This DIY mercury glass holiday wall art is one of those things.
In less than an hour and for about $10, I made this DIY mercury glass art for the holidays.
Here's my inspiration piece from Pottery Barn. Isn't it festive?
I bought an old piece of artwork at the thrift shop, then painted the frame and the glass, and made my own copy cat version of the inspiration piece. Here's how the DIY mercury glass process looks. Kinda like a science experiment!
Their version is $149, mine cost about $10.
And when I want it to say something different, I can easily change the message! Visit my full blog post for all of the easy details of how to make something like this for yourself.
