How do I increase storage in a half-bath with a wall-mounted sink?
I have a wall-mounted sink in a half-bath. The piping shows under the sink, and I don't want to build a cabinet. But ... I need storage, and I want to hide the pipes. Any ideas?

Hi Janet, here's how one DIYer did it. She made a lovely skirt around the sink that drapes to the floor providing the hidden storage beneath the sink that she needed: http://eddieross.com/eddie_ross/2009/04/before-and-after-dollar-store-skirted-sink.html
Do you have a photo so we can better advise.v

Hi Janet, I'm not a fan of curtains underneath a sink. I used to have a plant right at the base of the pedestal on either side in matching urns. It did the trick for me to hide the plumbing pipes.
I would add some shelves somewhere or can you put a cabinet above the toilet for storage? or is the half bath too small for that?
I used to have a bathroom like that and made the "curtain" thing to go around the sink, with elastic. If it got dirty, I could just take it down and wash it. Plus you can change out your curtain and change the look of the whole room.
Janet: maybe this will help

I painted mine out. Color of wall or color of faucet. Looked very clean.
Ikea also sells small shelves made to fit under sinks and around pipes.

You can use double sided velcro tape and put a shower curtain onto the sink. Then you have a hidden area to put bins and hide the pipes.
A skirt under the sink would hide so much stuff! Also decorative baskets or bins can make even toilet paper look cute. :)
Skirt under the sink small wall cabinet tiny
I would skirt the sink and then I would put open shelves over the toilet.
Put some small shelf’s on the wall for storage
I made an under mount sink skirt for a girlfriend's bathroom using exterior velcro to adhere to the underside. I shirred the top to make it full, with a front overlapping opening.
How about some shelving underneath?
I would make a pretty curtain and attach it to the sink to hide the pipes and anything you want to store beneath. You can use velcro with adhesive to attach the fabric to your sink.
There are lots of under sink shelving units out there made just for this and they also conceal the plumbing.
