We finally started on the remodel of the master suite, which has been so daunting since it included 3 rooms and a walk in closet. This is just the closet portion. Head on over to my profile page if you'd like to see the other parts of this project.
So this was the photo I took when we were looking at the house prior to purchase. The closet sure was full!
We first removed the popcorn ceiling (after having it tested for asbestos). And then applied the first coat of Kilz paint
Here is a photo of the Ceiling and walls with their final coat of paint, not too shabby!
We had just enough boxes of laminate left over from the kitchen and hall remodel to put it in the floor of the closet. It was a perfect flooring solution and looks great!
Time to install the quarter round to hide the gap where the flooring met the baseboard
We bought 2 new lamps to install in the ceiling where only bare light bulb attachments were before, ad then the room was complete!
Suggested materials:
  • Paint, light fixtures   (Lowes)
  • Leftover vinyl plank flooring   (on line)
