Fleur De Lis Dresser

by Kimberly
This 1940's dresser has been painted with a brushed on metallic. The fleur de lis were found on the Graphics Fairy website (always great images on her site). The top and sides have been done in a news print and the drawer fronts french script.
The fleur de lis have been decoupaged onto the drawer fronts and sealed with acrylic. All hardware is original to the piece but painted.
The base and dresser frame have been heavily distressed to give the piece age and character.
A combination of clear and dark wax has been applied for added durability I am very pleased with the finished results, although regret forgetting to take a BEFORE pic.. You can find this and other projects 4 sale on my website. Please have a look and LIKE my facebook page. Thanks for viewing. Have a great week!

Thank you for the nice comment. I live in Ontario and have been to Quebec City a few times. I have stayed at the Chateau Frontenac and that old Quebec atmosphere is really what inspired this design.
