Hand Painted Vintage Buffet/Dresser

I was asked a whilte back this summer by an old friend from a town we lived in 16 years ago if I would be willing to donate one of my pieces to a school/church fund raiser. We attended the church and our daughters attended the school when we lived there. I was honored to say yes. I showed her pieces of my furniture inventory and this is the piece we decided on to do.
This is the before photo. It was made by Basset. Solid wood and dovetail construction. Look at the curves on the drawers. The hardware has great patina so I decided to leave it as is.
I chose Annie Sloan Country Grey and Old White for my colors and then stood back and studied it for a minute to decided what was going to be country grey and what was going to be old white.
After painted 2 coats and letting it dry i distressed with 220 grit sand paper and clear waxed. After the wax was dry I buffed with 0000 steel wool.
Here is a view of the top.
This piece is going to be hard to part with.
I love all of the great detail on it.
Check out the drawer pulls.
