Resuscitating Furniture- A Dresser Makeover

My client considered buying a new dresser to use as a changing table but decided to give this hand me down one another lease on life. Sure, it was cosmetically challenged with deep wounds and scars but she knew it still had life left in it.
These drapes were the jumping off point in the nursery. After a color consult we settled on a layered finish with the crib color peeking thru the rich, wine color.
Strong and sturdy but not so easy on the eyes...
The stain was worn thin and the varnish was heavily cracked in areas.
There were also a few deep burns.
After mending the wounds, I applied "Layers of Love".

nice job. an older piece of furniture is always better than a new one, IMO.
