I found this french provincial style lingerie chest at the Goodwill. I knew with some paint she could make quite the transformation.

I removed the hardware, cleaned the piece with Krud Kutter and scuff sanded it all down.

Next I took this primer STIX and primered the piece to give the paint something to grip onto and for better adhesion.

I used Behr Premium Plus paint and brushed that on. It’s an acrylic based paint and you can get it color matched to any color you want. This was color matched to Benjamin Moore Razzle Dazzle. It’s a bright, & fun pink.

This is after the first coat. About an hour later you can recoat.

It took three full coats to get good

coverage.

I sprayed the hardware in Rustoleum vintage gold as it was and I used a matte poly over the entire piece from Varathane. The matte still gives it a slight sheen without being too glossy.

For a fun surprise I also lined the drawers with a dotted wallpaper from Target’s Opalhouse line.

All glammed up now and she really shines!

What a fun statement she makes now too.

Turned out beautiful! Great job. Quick question....did you use the drawer liner for the picture hanging next to it?? And the little round table? Everything looks awesome!

This is absolutely beautiful and great for a pop of color. I love it! Im a big fan of French provincial furniture in general. I have the same exact piece. I painted mine charcoal grey(all my other bedroom furniture is white). I been thinking about changing it for a pop of color when we finish buying new and selling old house. This definitely showed me that I should. Its the perfect piece for a pop. Great job and thank you for the beautiful inspo.
