Mother's Day DIY Framed Jewelry Organizer

With all the jewelry mothers are going to receive for Mother's Day, they'll also need a jewelry organizer for it all. Here's a DIY jewelry rack made with a stretched canvas, picture frame and cabinet knobs.
I thought the saying, "Mothers are Jewels of the Heart" summed up the sentiment of Mother's Day. I created the design on photoshop and printed it out on Craft Attitude printable film, which goes on the canvas like butter.
I figured out where I wanted the cabinet knobs and screwed holes for them on the back of the canvas, through the wood and out the front.
The design on the front was printed on the Craft Attitude film in sections – four pieces for the blue diamond border, and one piece for the middle. Then I applied the film with spray adhesive.
Then it was time to screw in the cabinet knobs. Fortunately, we had pre-drille the holes earlier. This is how it looks on the back with the screws.
Once the canvas is complete with the decoration and the knobs, I attached it to an open-back frame. The frame and the canvas were 11x14.
This was really quick and easy to make. And I love how the cabinet pull at the bottom was turned upside down to create a pocket for loose jewelry.
