My Grandkids Needed an Extra Pretty Place to Sit

We started with a pre cut board from Lowes. It was the perfect size.
Next, we lightly sanded the outer two corners and then stained the board in dark walnut and let it dry for a few hours.
Then, we screwed two wall braces into the board and into the wall. The white stools I bought at a thrift store for 8.00 each. We sanded the round top seat portions and stained the seats with the same dark walnut stain.
Now we have a very pretty and functional use for an otherwise blank wall. Our grandkids have eaten on it and they absolutely love their breakfast nook.

I have to let y'all know that I have a craft room for the kids and I. So, this little seating project was directed mostly for eating in the kitchen. I did notice the kids putting their toys and papers on the table when they weren't eating. I hadn't realized it would be multi purpose. :)

@Bridget, our Son and Grandson live with us, which is why I mentioned using it for crafting too. Kids love to be where the action is.
