See how we took this small dormer space in the upstairs bedroom and made it super functional by adding a built-in bed with tons of storage. On top of that, we added texture, character, and coziness in this little nook with a rustic planked wall behind the bed and new lighting. How to Make a Built in Bed Using Stock Kitchen Cabinets
The dormer nook where the bed would be placed is approximately 10′ wide by 4′ deep.
We had enough room for an extra-long twin mattress and (2) 18" stock kitchen cabinets with drawers

Brilliant idea young lady! I would love this for the nieces and nephews that come stay over the summer. Its cozy and i love the idea that the bed is lateral against the wall so there is NO BED TO CLEAN UNDER so no dust bunnies collecting under a bed. Love it!

Thanks so much! My youngest son recently took over his older brother’s room. It definitely makes it easier to keep clean (or at least keep the appearance of a clean room) with the trundle drawers under the bed. I’m sure your nieces and nephews would love a cozy nook like this!
