Summer Poolside Tablescape & DIY Dollar Tree Tea Light Candle Holders

While so many people are trying to skip to fall I’m still over here holding onto every moment of ☀️Summer!!

Be sure to check out my last 2 blog posts! I shared my outdoor wood table and wood planter refresh, as well as some super simple DIY paint splatter charger plates!

Now that my table is all pretty & I have some fun charger plates let’s create an easy tablescape!

Since you can normally find us lounging around the pool a bright summer tablescape seemed fitting!

To add to my summer table I made these tea candle holders using a mason jar and candle holder from Dollar Tree.

I added bright rocks for extra color as well as weight. I wanted to get the candle holders off the table and figured the mason jars would be perfect to use!

Items used:

  • Mason Jar
  • Short candle holders
  • E6000 glue
  • Rocks

It’s crazy easy to make these and they added a simple touch to my pool side tablescape.

1. Add the rocks to your mason jar and then close the lid. You could fill them with sand, flowers, greenery, etc…

2. Turn the jar upside down and then glue the candle holders to the bottom of the jars using E6000.

3. Allow to dry and enjoy.

I know they aren’t super fancy… but they were the perfect touch to my simple table!

I added some left over drop cloth strips to the center, used large mason jars for my glasses, and a few faux DT flowers to complete the look!
