I love this time of year. Christmas is a happy time to spend with family. Christmas for me means a little bit of indulgence, going that extra mile to make things as special as they can be. You don’t need to spend a lot of money. For me making things at home means taking time to prepare something hand made with love. Today I’ll be making Christmas crackers.
Supplies you need.
1) Decorative paper or tissue paper
2)cardboard tubes
3) Christmas cracker snappers (available at spotlight or any craft shop)
4)small gifts
5) ribbon
6) Scissors
7) Adhesive tape
How to make homemade Christmas crackers.
1) Attach a snapper to the inside of each tube useing adhesive tape.
2) Cut a length of paper to cover the cracker. The paper needs to be wider than the snappers.
3) Roll the tube to cover it with paper.
4) Tie off one end of the cracker with ribbon.
5) Keep one end of the cracker open. This is where you will put in all the goodies.
6) Gather your goodies to put inside each cracker.
7) Once the crackers have been filled, tie off the remaining end and your done.
Very easy project that anyone can do.Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I've made some of these to hold small gifts, but I never thought of adding snappers. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve never heard of a snapper. What exactly is that? I have 6 yr old and 3 yr old grandsons that would love something like this but I don’t know what a snapper is.
