You know those cups, the ones with the words written across them. Yeah, the Rae Dunn ones. I have never liked them and have never bought one. I just didn't understand the obsession, especially with spending so much on a coffee mug. But I did like the style, and I knew I could use it for something way more fun. And that is how I came up with Rae Dunn inspired christmas ornaments!
Aren't they cute?! And they were so easy to do. All it took was 20 minutes to finish all 12 of them!
All you need is a sheet of black vinyl and white ornaments of your choice. You will also need a Cricut machine to cut the letters out. If you don't have one and you're an avid DIYer, you should get one! Or find a friend who can do this for you!
You can see exactly how I downloaded the font for this on my blog here. I uploaded my font onto my Cricut Design Space and the next thing I knew I was pressing cut and watching my machine do the work for me!
You can also see on my blog this awesome hack I use to transfer my vinyl cuts, and it's really darn cheap too! Here's what my words looked like once they were cut out and I had weeded out all the vinyl I didn't want going on my ornament.
And all finished! What do you guys think? Love them, hate them, let me know in the comments!
