Here is a cheap way to attain that professional florist look green garland !
Start by putting up cheap garland , I used two 9ft pieces wired to end , then I added lights .
Next I collected live branches from cedar and pine trees. Starting at the top middle I placed branches by wrapping the cheap garland tips around the stems of live branches, placing one onthe right and then one of equal length on the left each time. place your second branches with the cut end behind the end tip of the first branch. And so on and so forth until u reach the corner. At this point start repeating the process vertically, using floral wire .
HOME DEPOT AND LOWES WILL BE HAPPY TO LET U RAID THEIR DISCARDED BRANCHES CUT FROM THE SALE OF LIVE TREES.
Wrap fake garland tips to the cut end of the branch and in the middle and at the end .
once you have attached the initial branches u can then make it fuller or more even by just inserting in smaller pieces where needed .
attatch floral wire To cut end below the first or second leaves. Then secure vertically to the sides using the wire and then twisting a fake tip around stem also for stability.
Once I was finished I just decorated with left over Christmas picks(hobby lobby ) , ribbon and pine cones.
