I bought this 2 candle holders in a garage sale for $1 a piece. When I saw them I visualized the perfect Christmas decor. With some love and special prices from Michaels they can look great.
This is how they looked when I got them after a good clean up.
I used some paint to make them look old but nice.
With some materials that I have from past projects like pieces of garland, holiday ribbon metal bells from Michael‘s , and some pines trees that I picked up from outside , wich I cleaned and baked them very well to make sure there is not bugs ( I learned how to do this in a Hometalk tutorial ).
I like to use this candle from Ikea, they are great, uses one AA batterie, and last a lot of time.
I love this paint color, it make the candle holders more antique.
I applied 2 coats. And let them dry. They dry very fast.
After they were painted I just made the bow with the ribbon ( also I learned in Hometalk) put the tape around the tope of the holder and secured it with hot glue, after I tied the bow with the bells, then just tied the pines with the garlands. Ready for the candle!
Voila!! perfect Christmas decor .
I just love them!
