You've just got to love the Dollar Store for all kinds of bargains and inspiration. Here are some DIY gifts that I have made over the years for friends and family. All you really need is a little craft paint and brushes - they sell those too!
These are peel and stick adhesive letters. They can be used and over again. They have Noël and many other Christmas messages. The sky's the limit.
This is a piece of reclaimed lumber. It's a very quick and easy gift. Simply trace the foam letters and paint with a fine brush. I used a metallic pen from Michael's to outline the letters. Drill hole, fasten with jute or ribbon from the Dollar Store.
These are my son's hand prints on the wreath. It's a re--use of the backing from an old mirror. I used Martha Stewart glitter in red, green and silver on the HO HO HO letters from the Dollar Store. My husband drilled holes in the letters and we attached them with metal wire.
More Dollar Store letters covered in snow. I did paint the snow man. If you're not a Tole painter, you could just purchase an ornament for the letter O. Better yet, look through those Christmas boxes and repurpose something that you already have. Drill and attach with jute. My mother likes this decoration so much, she keeps it up all year long!
Just paint these lovely block letters in interesting patterns. I love adding snow. You could also stain them or leaave them natural.
More Dollar Store letters! I glued these onto a very old piece of pine. Hope I've given you some easy DIY gift or décor ideas. Joyeux Noël!
