Upcycled Fall Pumpkins and Ghost
I’m a new Grandma! The baby was on formula after mom couldn’t get enough milk so we have many formula bottles around the house. This grandma couldn't let them go to waste and I knew I could use them for some kind of craft. With Fall coming around the corner, this cute ghost is just perfect!
Now, with baby getting older we are also using baby food so this Grandma thought of another cute DIY using the leftover glass jars. Take a look at these two super easy DIYs using items you might have around the house. I find the best part about crafting is using items we have around the house to make cute and beautiful crafts. Let me know what you think!
Items you’ll need:
Baby food jars
Formula bottles
Sharpie
Twine
Spanish moss
Burlap
Wood sticks
Green leaves 🍃
Hot glue gun
Paint (orange)
Scissors
Razor
Start by removing the labels from the bottles and jars. You can do that easily with a razor.
Using your sharpie, draw on a ghost face. I have included some easy fun faces for inspiration. See below 👇
Here are some great faces that can work. You can also print and trace if you need to. 😊
This is a great craft for kids too as it's not messy. Which Mom doesn't love that!
What a fun easy DIY! He looks like he’s wearing a hat. It looks great if you're doing black and white decor.
Next, to do the pumpkins we will need to paint the glass jars orange. I just took them to the back yard and sprayed mine. But you can always use chalk paint. Once they were dry I brought mine back inside to embellish them. Just add a stem and leaves with your hot glue.
I glued on my leaves, stem, Spanish moss, and twine.
Watch my video for how I added my Spanish moss.
Before and after. It turned out so cute!
Here are two I made using the two different brands of baby food. It makes it fun because there are two different sizes and shapes.
How fun is my Fall wood tray full of Fall pumpkins? See more of my tutorials on Gilbert Marketplace at Facebook and YouTube.
