Bottle Cap State Art

I made this super easy wall art for my son's room with wood and bottle caps.
I love celebrating our beautiful state, Kentucky, with this project!

Bottle caps are so much fun to collect, but if you are not a collector, you can find a variety of bottle caps on sites like Ebay. You can purchase old ones, new ones, all one color, or a ton of different colors. I wanted my art to be bright and colorful, so that is what I ordered!

I used 1x4's to create the backdrop for my bottle cap art! I didn't even use any nails, just Gorilla glue to hold them together with smaller, vertical 1x4's on the back. I stained my wood a "weathered gray" by Minwax, but you could paint your wood if you wanted to.

After tracing the outline of the state of Kentucky on the wood with a projector, I hot glued the bottle caps inside the outline. EASY!

I LOVE the way it turned out, and so do my boys! It is such a colorful and unique addition to their room. Click on the link below to see more details. Thanks!

LOL, UK and U of L best in-state rivalry!!! Love the project ❤️❤️ would be cute to put the school mascot or initials on top of the one bottle cap in that city. Been a BBN member for years, now my granddaughter is a Sophomore at U of L! I must be a double dipper now. Go Cats!💙 Go Cards!❤️🖤
