If you love finding new ways to transform things you already have, this easy basket makeover is for you. If you are anything like me, you have a collection of baskets at home. I decided to give one of my favorite baskets a little makeover and I love how it turned out.

I started with this rounded basket. You'll want to use a basket with a nice long handle.

Pick out some fun and colorful yarn.

Tie a piece of yarn around the handle and start wrapping.

Use a drop of hot glue to secure the end of the yarn and continue with another color.

Continue wrapping with yarn until the entire handle is covered.

Now you'll want to make a variety of tassels.

Tie the tassels to a long piece of yarn. You'll then tie the tassels around the handle on each side.

I decided to add a fuzzy white yarn flower to the top of my tassels. You can add beads, pom poms or anything else you have around.

Isn't this pretty? I love how it turned out and can't stop looking at my other baskets. If you don't have a collection of baskets at home, they are pretty inexpensive at thrift stores, so keep your eyes peeled next time you're there.
