EAT Letters for Kitchen

Today I'm sharing the EAT letters I made for my vintage inspired kitchen and I LOVE love LoVe the way they turned out! I have seen versions of them on Pottery Barn, Cost Plus, Pinterest and many other places and thought it would be fun to paint some pink ones for this space on my kitchen cabinets and save the $50 that they sell for.
Now pink may not be yours or everyone's color and that's ok, so if you like them you can always paint them in red, black, wood color or whatever your heart desires. Mine cost about $12 to make.
If you've been following along you know I recently made over the light fixture here and added mason jars for a whole new look and I LOVE it now and if you want to know how I did you can see my Pink Mason Jar Chandelier here.
Here is the before of that space on my cabinet.
Here's how I made them. I found the letters at Michaels for $4.99 each but of course I had a coupon (you can google it from your phone and show the cashier to scan it, or print it) so mine cost $12.00 for the three. You could think ahead and go on three different days and buy each one at 50% off and spend about $8 on them too.
I had the paint and mixed White and Pink Blast to make a lighter pink that I wanted. You can buy these small craft paints for $.69 cents at Michaels or $2/1.00 at Walmart so they are so inexpensive.
All the steps and 10 more pictures are on my blog and I invite you to come on over. Just click on the link and it will take you right to this page. As a blogger that's how we get our kudos is by you visiting us over on our blog so I'd love it if you stop by and I also share a ton more fun things like our home tour, diy and craft ideas and lots of recipes too.
If you'd like to see our 1922 kitchen or the pink mason jar chandelier I made for it there are lots more posts here and on the blog so take a peek.
I get asked often how my husband can stand having a more pink themed kitchen and I have to say he's pretty awesome about it but we compromise and right off our kitchen is his very manly sports themed Steelers Tv Mancave so he's pretty happy and we both have rooms we love. letters Makeover
