If you’re fortunate enough to have a Hobby Lobby close by, then you’ll want to make sure you check out their 90% clearance aisle. As if that store doesn’t already have the most amazing things, they boast the best clearance items and sales. Today, I want to show you how I took a completely broken lamp for $6.97 and gave it a makeover!
With a price like $6.97, you just can't beat it! It had all the parts including the shade.
It was completely broken in half! I used a clear gorilla glue to reattach it. Good as new!
These two products right here, saved the day...lemme tell ya'!! Heirloom Traditions Chalk style paint and Venetian Texture medium. I missed those two together to create a thin paste, applied it to the crack, after I glued it back together. The texture medium when mixed with paint sure does hide a multitude of sins, and a little goes a long way.
After the texture medium was applied. Super easy to apply using a chip brush.
Completely restored!!!
It fits in with our decor and feels right at home on that buffet. Yes the buffet it in the middle of getting makeover as well..lol!
I'd love for you to stop by our blog at: http://lifeuponthehill.com/hobby-lobby-clearance-makeover/ and give us a look see! Step by step directions are up.
