I use for the metal decors metallic paints looks beautiful (and you don't need to apply protection ad well.) Are you trying to say I don't need a primer or overcoat?

I bought a tree art wire sculpture and want to paint the trees to look like birch trees. I don’t know what kind of paint will stick!

I can say use General Finish Jel Stain products, they have many colors and durability about any project. Or you can use Rustoleum paint for metals. Kathy Harris.
