Hello everyone!

I bought this vase for $ 10. I was crazy about all the details, but less about the color: it was too severe.

I am about to redecorate my bedroom in a country chic style. It will be dark navy, white and natural wood. I decided to paint my vase in white, with RUST-OLEUM chalk spray paint (first try)

I applied 3 coats of paint. I wanted to remove all the beige khaki, in the holes too, so I paint by turning the vase in all directions.

You might think it is not the same color as the previous picture, but it is. The lightning in my workshop is not very good... :(

Once the paint had dried, I slightly sanded the reliefs of the vase with 100 grit paper, making circles to avoid dark straight lines.

When I was satisfied with the result, I stopped. I had to give a thin layer of paint where I sanded too much. This is the danger: sanding too much! It's better to do less than too much.

Before applying my protective layer, I took care to clean the vase with a dry cloth to remove all traces of dust.

Here is my new vase! Pretty happy with the result! :) Looks like springtime...

Have a good day!
