Beyond the Looking Glass

Dated mirror gets new life when up-cycled with Blackboard paint!

Found this mirror at a garage sale. Originally I thought I'd just paint the frame and find a place to hang it. The design on top isn't really stained glass, but something painted on the mirror. Then I spied a can of blackboard paint on a shelf so....
I took it apart and for contrast sprayed the frame with Vaspar's Exotic Blue.


I flipped that stained glass looking part and painted it white.


Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the word Believe in vinyl and transferred it to the glass.


The mirror got three coats of Blackboard spray paint.


Everything was put back together and now I use it in my office for notes and inspiration.
