DIY Large Dry Erase Board

I've always kept a dry erase board in my kitchen so family members can write down things we're are out of or need from the store. When I redid my kitchen I decided to upsize it and make my own from and old frame. Couldn't fit all the photos below so SEE ALL PHOTOS HERE

I had an old large frame with a plastic cover that was just the size I wanted for my new dry erase board.

Measure your dry erase paper to your frame and cut it to fit.

*FOR LARGER BOARDS THIS IS EASIER WITH TWO PEOPLE Start to unroll one end of the dry erase film and align it to the top of your plastic. You can even use a piece of white board for the insert and cover that with the dry erase paper. The KEY is to not get bubbles in it. Take something like a credit card and while you slowly pull the backing off and lay it down, use the credit card to press along as you go so there are no bubbles.

I made my own eraser because I was always frustrated with the larger erasers when I was trying to just erase one line from a list on the board. I used a wood oval and a wood plug for the handle.

Cut your felt to match then glue it on your wood. Glue the knob on top.

I spray painted my pop up note holder so it matched.

Then I glued the bottom items in place. I glued a small white clothespin to the board to hold a monthly calendar I print from Outlook that has all our schedules and dates on it.
