Palmistry Wall Hanging

I’ve been so excited to show you guys this DIY Palmistry Wall Hanging made from felt. I had this idea last year and started one, but never finished and stuck it somewhere. Since I can’t find it, I made a new one and I love how it turned out. This is a fun craft and a great way to preserve those tiny hands (or big hands) and also get some cool Halloween home décor. I’m not into super scary Halloween décor, so this is more of a magic Halloween decoration.

I traced and cut out Scout’s hand to use for this DIY Palmistry Wall Hanging. The hand was traced onto a piece of felt and cut out. Stitch the hand to a large piece of felt with embroidery floss. I cut out some felt stars and moon pieces and stitched them onto the wall hanging as well.

After the felt pieces were added, I started adding details with embroidery. I added a few lines to the hand and labeled them. You can get as detailed as you want with the palmistry lines or do something just for fun, like I did.

I wanted this wall hanging nice and thick, so I layered my felt with another piece and stitched them together. This also helps give the wall hanging a nice, finished look.

I stitched on a couple pieces of ribbon to the top corners and slid a wooden dowel through them.

I tied a felt bat, pom pom and tassel to the wooden dowel.
