Entrance Closet Organization

We have a tiny little entrance closet, my husband wants to tear it apart and build a new one but until he starts that project I desperately needed to organize this tiny triangular closet for 2 adults and 3 kids! Challenge accepted
Please excuse this awful mess... but as you see this is what motivated me to organize!
This chaos was giving me anxiety!
I found these 3 tier bookshelves from my local Giant Tiger I bought 3 units and placed contact paper on the inside shelf to protect the shelves from shoe/boot debris as I am making them our shoe cubbies.
There used to be a folding door on this closet but it had broken off and instead of replacing the broken hardware I had a tension rod not being used and bought a curtain from my local Giant Tiger. It needed hemmed so I used the extra length as a tie back that is on a hook. The curtain works so much better than the door did!
As it is spring time winter is packed away, I have a coat stand that I still needed to use for winter stuff.
I added a row of hooks that are a perfect height for the kids to take care of their own things without my help.
I ended up turning the shelves on their side and stacking them up as they fit in the closet this way best.
In the winter time I have 3 baskets that fit in the cubbies and that's where we keep our outdoor hats, mitts and scarves. Right now one is being used for slippers.
I do say, it feels so much better having this organized!
Enjoyed the project?

I’m glad you took charge of your tiger in the closet by going to the Giant Tiger! You have done a very nice job. And I like the Contact paper in the cubbies. 😇
