We just finished our remodel for our kitchen and I LOVE IT. We brightened it up by painting the cabinets white and getting shaker cabinet doors. My husband made concrete countertops and we also made some open shelving. Check out the before & after. I also knew that I wanted a white farmhouse sink, I knew it would be a big costs, but I couldn't do without it. For the backsplash, we chose white subway tile with gray grout. We had talked about doing different patterns such as herring bone but I knew doing it horizontally would be the safest option.
Before. Say goodbye to that ugly green tile!
This was after we took down the cabinets and before we put up the shelving.
We added shiplap to our island.
After
The open shelving we added. There were cabinets here before, but we took them down and added these shelves.
