Grain sack stripes are my favorite way to add some personality to a piece of furniture. Clean and simple, they are always timeless. Here are some simple steps to add this look to your next furniture...without measuring! My quick and almost foolproof method for grain sack stripes....
A classic Queen Anne style drop leaf coffee table, update.
Find your center and lay out your stripes using painters tape as your guide. I used 1 1/2 inch and 1/2 inch painters tape. For the classic grain sack stripe, I layer my widest tape down the center and used three strips of the narrow tape on either side.
After laying, pull up your middle wide and the middle narrow tapes.
Pick your color of choice, and fill in.
Easy, perfectly even striping.
