I couldn’t resist trying to bring a colourful refreshed look to this plain but great recycled pallet wood bench someone gave me.

i wanted to give a three Colour look in orange blue and white.

I wanted to give a three Colour look in orange blue and white. I give a quick wipe over /brush down of the flakey bits of wood and I begin with outdoor oil based paint and start to dip my brush in and paint the back of the pallet in Blue.

I continue with painting by working in the crevices too and as I didn’t put a base coat on I wanted to give it a thick thorough coat.

Continue painting and wanted a strong base colour to bring out the contrasting brighter light colours so the blue is worked inside and underneath too.

Painting in the gaps

Once I decide which colours to stripe with is full steam ahead.

Continue with the front panels and nearly done.

After an overnight drying I’m so delighted with the washed out painted refresh that takes pride of place in the garden.
