I have this patio table set and although it was functional, I wanted to give it a new look that I loved. With just one material, I was able to completely transform this set and create a look that is so much more my style. Spray paint- that's it! Here's how.
This is is the before picture. This set was given to me by my neighbor. I was so happy to give it new life & color!
I selected a rustoleum red spray paint for this project. It's a primary red and is exactly the bright and fun color I need! Then I simply began spraying. I did two coats. Make sure to spray either outside or with the windows open, man those fumes are intense! You also want to protect the surface you are spraying over. I laid a drop cloth on my lawn and sprayed the set there.
I was so happy with the look that I got ahead of myself and did not do a clear coat as I should have. After about a week and some rain, there was some peeling. So I sanded those spots and did another couple coats finishing up with two coats of industrial clear coat.
So happy with how this red came out!
