Heather Flower Bed Update
So a couple of years ago we planted heather on the bank out the front of our house!!
i didn’t use membrane to keep the weeds away(big mistake) so now a few years later I’m back to put the membrane down and make a proper flower bed!!

All de weeded
There’s a gap here which we’re filling with some trees I’d grown in pots but are getting too big for the pots
These are the trees
We popped them in here to fill the gap
Lie the membrane flat over where you want cut an x where the plant is and pull it through
Here’s a video of how I did it
We lay sleepers down to hold the membrane
We got small pieces of wood cut them to size
We stood up the sleepers
Hammered the piece of wood to the front and back of the sleepers to hold in place
sleepers are finished!!!
We used 14 bags of bark!!

I’ve heard that rubber bark attracts termites. A nursery told me that so we use a huge amount of bark every other year for our hill area & garden. Not noticed any mushrooms in it but have seen some in neighbors lawn area.
